Ok, it now tests to see if it failed to parse the file and uses the alternate method (the original provided that did not work for me). I really can't warranty or provide support for this at the moment, as the replacement uses a completely different method of getting skill lists etc., so it's not like there is any shared functionality I have to overcome. Tested on two rifts with two different classes, no issues.
You can use the contents of the old zip file, then overwrite the exe with this one. Heading to bed, but I'm hoping this resolved things for you and anyone else that had issues with the update. Also hope you guys get an official update to tide things over, but completely understand R3peat's circumstances.
tried to get it working with the source by myself, but im too dumb for that stuff, obviously. i assume it should be quite easy, tho. maybe some small tutorial somewhere on this subject? getting compile errors all along and playing around since 1h :S
not feeling well downloading stuff from unknowns, no offense, just internet reality
Same problem as snapple38. After few build issues, could get it going. Blank skill definitions, skill editor crashes (throws exception), commenting the exception line (setting SelectedIndex) also didn't take any further due to blank skill definitions :-(
